High School On-Site 2026-2027 Course Offerings
A non-technical discussion designed to increase the enjoyment and appreciation of music. Fulfills the music requirement in the general education program.
This course introduces the student to the technical language of medicine that has been developed logically from Latin and Greek roots. The student is shown how medical terms are built from their individual parts, or elements, which form the anatomy of the word. The information in this course will enable students to: identify the root, combining vowels and combining forms of medical terms, understand the importance of suffixes and prefixes in forming medical terms, link word elements together to form medical terms, break down or deconstruct a medical term into its elements, connect the singular and plural forms of medical terms, and verbalize the pronunciation of medical terms.
