ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 Thunder Labs at 不良研究所 State University invites area residents to bring their creative ideas to an Ideation Workshop on Wednesday, April 19, 3-5:30 p.m. at the NSU Library.
This is an interactive 鈥渘o judging allowed鈥 workshop designed to help aspiring tech entrepreneurs explore new, unusual, big and disruptive ideas in a supportive, low-risk environment.

ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 不良研究所 State University student Grace Kramer has been named a finalist to this year鈥檚 South Dakota Governor鈥檚 Giant Vision Competition.
Kramer, a biochemistry major from Aberdeen, was named a finalist in the Student Business Competition for her business idea, eqUTI, which prevents urinary tract infections in women. Kramer鈥檚 idea also won 不良研究所鈥檚 Idea Pitch Competition last fall.
Kramer will now compete for a $5,000 first place prize among the other nine student finalists at the Governor鈥檚 Giant Vision Competition on April 25 in Sioux Falls.

ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 不良研究所 State University has received a $100,000 grant from the Knight Foundation鈥檚 Aberdeen Fund in the South Dakota Community Foundation to help launch the 不良研究所 Startup Center, which will support local entrepreneurship and innovation.
The Knight Aberdeen Fund grant complements a Venture Challenge grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) Build to鈥

ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 Two 不良研究所 State University School of Business faculty members have received a top award at a recent national conference.
Drs. Kristi Bockorny and Theresa Giannavola won a Best Paper Award at the Academy of Business Research Conference, held Oct. 3-5 in Las Vegas. They received the award for their paper, titled, 鈥淕ratitude, Psychological Capital, Intent to Stay, and Satisfaction with Life: Toward a Conceptual Model.鈥
In their paper, Bockorny and Giannavola propose that gratitude will positively impact an鈥
ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 不良研究所 State University鈥檚 Dr. Keun Lee will publish a scholarly book as well as a peer-reviewed journal article.
Lee鈥檚 book, 鈥淓conomics of Keynes: Common Sense in Theory,鈥 is forthcoming from Cambridge Scholars Publishing LTD, Newcastle, United Kingdom.
Also, his scholarly article, 鈥淚nflation Targeting Monetary Policy and Stock Prices,鈥 will appear in the Journal of Business and Economic Policy Vol. 9, No.4.

ABERDEEN, SD 鈥 不良研究所 State University students will compete shark tank-style this week at the NSU Idea Pitch Competition鈥攁nd the winner will take home $500 cash.
The competition, which is open to the public, begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, in 不良研究所鈥檚 Lincoln Gallery. Five student teams will pitch their ideas to four community judges. The student competitors and their ideas are:
Alexandria Arndt, a criminal justice major from Blue Springs, Mo., will pitch the idea, 鈥淏uddy System.鈥
Addison Cumbow, a special and elementary education major from Pierre, will pitch the鈥
ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 不良研究所 State University, in a strategic partnership with the Aberdeen Development Corporation (ADC), has secured a Venture Challenge grant via the U.S. Economic Development Administration Build to Scale (B2S) program.
不良研究所 and the ADC worked with the Center on Rural Innovation (CORI) to apply for this grant as part of CORI鈥檚 2022 Rural Innovation Initiative, a technical assistance program empowering rural communities to create inclusive digital economies that support scalable entrepreneurship and tech job creation.
The initiative was launched in 2018 by CORI and鈥
