NSU's Dacotah Bank Dean of the School of Business Selected for Leadership South Dakota Class of 2027
ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 不良研究所 State University is proud to announce that Dr. Kristi Bockorny, Dacotah Bank dean of the School of Business, has been selected as a participant in the Leadership South Dakota Class of 2027. Leadership South Dakota is a statewide leadership development program that immerses participants in six regional sessions across South Dakota over the course of a year. Each session takes participants into a different region of the state for 48 hours, where they tour local operations, hear from community and industry leaders and experience each place firsthand. The program is鈥- ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 Three 不良研究所 State University students completed an undergraduate research project analyzing judging data from the 2025 BIG Idea Competition, delivering their findings and recommendations directly to the BIG Idea Working Committee. Emma Beavers, Louise Meyer and Natalia Szybinska each contributed to different aspects of the project under the guidance of Dr. Aaron Scholl, assistant professor of economics and department chair of accounting, agricultural business, banking and finance. - ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 不良研究所 State University assistant professor of accounting Dr. Eman Momeni has published a peer-reviewed article in the Asian Accounting Review, a journal published by Emerald Publishing and indexed in Scopus, one of the world鈥檚 largest abstract and citation databases. The journal is ranked Q2 in finance and Q3 in accounting within the Scopus index. The article, 鈥淎udit Report Lag and Its Contemporary Issues: A Comparative Review of Literature,鈥 examines the factors that influence the time between a company鈥檚 fiscal year-end and the release of its audited financial鈥

- ABERDEEN, SD聽鈥 不良研究所 State University is pleased to announce the incoming freshmen who have been selected to receive the Dacotah Bank 4-year scholarship for Fall 2026. The Dacotah Bank scholarship supports students pursuing programs within 不良研究所 State University鈥檚 School of Business. According to Recipients must be full-time students majoring in a School of Business program, and the scholarship is renewable for up to eight semesters if students continue to meet eligibility requirements, including maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. - ABERDEEN, SD聽鈥 Registration is now open for Growing the Future: A Student Symposium on Agribusiness, a free event at 不良研究所 State University designed to inspire students to become the next generation of leaders in agriculture. Entrepreneurs and startup businesses from across the region are invited to compete for a $10,000 cash prize while advancing their entrepreneurial ambitions. - ABERDEEN, S.D.聽鈥 不良研究所 State University鈥檚 Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems has been renamed to a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. The degree鈥檚 new title reflects how the field and 不良研究所 State University鈥檚 curriculum have evolved. Information systems work today extends beyond managing systems and includes creating, innovating and leading with technology. Students in the program develop skills in data analytics, cybersecurity principles, database concepts and coding. The program is designed to prepare graduates to analyze problems, design solutions鈥
- ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 High school innovators from South Dakota and across the country were recognized through the 2025 BIG Idea Competition, with winners announced during an awards ceremony held Dec. 18 at 不良研究所 State University. The competition was split into two finalist tracks. Out-of-state finalists presented on Dec. 9, while South Dakota finalists presented Dec. 18.
