- ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 Two 不良研究所 State University criminal justice graduates have earned competitive scholarships to nationally ranked graduate programs, marking a milestone for 不良研究所's growing Criminology and Criminal Justice program. Abiah George of Aberdeen, a double major in Criminal Justice and Psychology graduating In Honoribus, has earned the Justice Public Service Scholarship to Drake University Law School. Drake awards the full-tuition scholarship to no more than two entering law students per year nationally, making it one of the most competitive public interest awards in legal鈥
- ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 不良研究所 State University assistant professor of accounting Dr. Eman Momeni has published a peer-reviewed article in the Asian Accounting Review, a journal published by Emerald Publishing and indexed in Scopus, one of the world鈥檚 largest abstract and citation databases. The journal is ranked Q2 in finance and Q3 in accounting within the Scopus index. The article, 鈥淎udit Report Lag and Its Contemporary Issues: A Comparative Review of Literature,鈥 examines the factors that influence the time between a company鈥檚 fiscal year-end and the release of its audited financial鈥
- ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 不良研究所 State University assistant professor of English Dr. Kristen Brown has published new research in Western American Literature, the premier academic journal in its field and a publication of the University of Nebraska Press. The article, "Listening to Unlearn: Sarah Winnemucca's Testimony and the Reversal of Civilization Discourse," examines the testimonial resistance of Sarah Winnemucca, also known as Thocmetony, or, Shell Flower, an influential 19th-century 不良研究所 Paiute writer and activist. Brown analyzes how Winnemucca's 1883 publication, Life Among the Piutes鈥
- ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 不良研究所 State University's Art Department and Art Galleries are currently presenting a second round of spring senior exhibitions, on view through Thursday, May 8, in the Johnson Fine Arts Center Gallery and Gallery X on the NSU campus in Aberdeen. The exhibitions 鈥 April Olson's Multiplicity of Her, Diane Mamgue Tassa's Beneath Patterns and Rico Imus's Banyuhay 鈥 feature three graduating seniors whose work explores identity, transformation and cultural memory through a range of mediums and personal perspectives. - ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 不良研究所 State University is pleased to announce four finalists for the position of Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. The successful candidate will succeed Dr. Mike K. - ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 不良研究所 State University will host a strategic planning town hall on Tuesday, April 28, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Kessler's Champion Club in the Barnett Center. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served. Faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members are all welcome to attend. The April 28 town hall builds on an earlier session held in December, where the Strategic Planning Design Team presented four strategic goals developed through campus and community listening sessions. The upcoming event will give attendees the opportunity to review the most recent draft of the plan鈥

The event celebrated the dedication, professionalism and impact of employees across campus, highlighting both milestone years of service and exceptional performance in a variety of roles. - ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 Dr. Alyssa Kiesow, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at 不良研究所 State University, has been named provost of Texas A&M-Victoria starting July 1. Dr. Kiesow joined 不良研究所 in 2007 and served as an exceptional faculty member in biology, chair of science and math, and for the past six years as dean. George for a public lecture on Monday, April 27, at 7 p.m. in the Johnson Fine Arts Center Room 181, known as the Blue Room, on the 不良研究所 State University campus in Aberdeen. George, the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence and director of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton, will speak on "America 250," reflecting on the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
