ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 不良研究所 State University Bands will present 鈥淎merican Soundscapes鈥 at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in the Johnson Fine Arts Center Jewett Theater.The concert will feature performances by the Symphonic Band, directed by Dr. Audrey Miller; Percussion Ensemble, directed by Dr. Terry Beckler; Low Brass Ensemble, directed by Dr. Travis Netzer; and String Ensemble, directed by Dr. Christopher Stanichar.All tickets are general admission and will be available at the door. ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 不良研究所 State University signed a teach-out agreement with Presentation College today to help students complete their degrees at 不良研究所.
不良研究所 has been working toward an academic agreement with PC for quite some time, prior to Presentation鈥檚 recent announcement. Now, 不良研究所 has received approval from the Higher Learning Commission to move forward with the agreement.

ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 不良研究所 State University鈥檚 Dr. Nuurrianti Jalli has published a policy paper with the world-renowned public policy organization, the Brookings Institution.The paper, titled 鈥淒isinformation and Democracy in Malaysia,鈥 was part of the Foreign Policy Democracy in Asia project, a collaborative effort by Jalli and fellow policy experts from around the world. ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 The South Dakota Jazz Festival Concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, in the 不良研究所 State University Johnson Fine Arts Center.The concert will feature performances by the Two O鈥機lock Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dr. Grant Manhart. Guest artists will include Ron Parker, piano, and other local talent.Featured guest artist will be Summer Camargo, a trumpet student at The Juilliard School and Jerome Greene Fellowship recipient. Originally from Hollywood, Florida, Camargo recently won first place in the International Trumpet Guild鈥檚 Ryan Anthony Trumpet Memorial鈥
ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 For Itzel 鈥淚zzy鈥 Sanchez, a first-time mom and full-time student at 不良研究所 State University, scholarships are a big help鈥攊ncluding the South Dakota Freedom Scholarship.鈥淏eing able to have that help from the community just helps a lot, to not have to pull from savings that we can use for day care, or when medical stuff comes up,鈥 said Sanchez, a junior elementary education major. 鈥淚t makes a big impact.鈥漈he Freedom Scholarship is a needs-based, public-private scholarship fund. NSU Financial Aid has $340,000 to award to scholarship recipients like Sanchez for the 2022-23鈥
